laptop product key not recognised by microsoft?

my new samsung lat top was bought a few weeks ago and microsoft office says that the product key supplied is not a genuine microsoft office product key. what the hell do i do? help please.

Did you buy a Microsoft Office Licence? If not then you dont have a product key.
Office is not free and never has been, what is supplied with your new laptop is a 60 day trial version and you need an Office key to validate it before or after the trial period expires. The number on the bottom of your laptop is for Windows not Office.
The solution is to buy a licence key or install something else to do a similar job, try Open Office at www.openoffice.org this is free software..
