How to remove the screen saver of a digital SLR?

Hello, I installed LCD screen protector for my Canon Rebel about a year ago and the shield is large, taking the brunt of the violence in camera LCD. In my last big trip, the guard finally gave up what is now There is a small crack that traverses the length of the guard (the LCD is fine). The crack is very distracting and I would like to substitute a new guard. The problem is that the adhesive on the protection against overvoltages is very strong and I do 'm not sure what I can put in custody, without applying a large amount of force that could damage the camera.
