Minolta Dimage

I have a Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2 Digital. What settings do I get good pictures of Christmas lights?

I tried automatic tuning and a statement of another tweaks, but the lights are so bright and diffuse the image.

Support important in this type of photography is to use a tripod. which should at least reduce blur. Croppping Try a small image to zoom in on an interesting part a few lights. It helps sometimes.
