How do you take a 120 roll film out of the camera?
I just finished shooting with mamiya c3 and 120 roll film for the first time, and i don´t know how to take out the film without exposing it to light, since i have expirience only with the 35mm film. So, how do you guys do that, and how do you store 120 film after it´s been used? thx!
You simply continue to wind the film on until it goes loose, then wind it a little more (a couple more turns). You then open the back up (in subdued light, indoors or in the shade, there is likely no harm in direct sunlight but it is always best to move into the shade, don’t worry you don’t need to be in darkness for this).
Take the film out and you will notice it says ‘Exposed’ on it. Store it safely (in a fridge if there is going to be a long delay before you process it, say a few days). Basically handle it the same way you would 35mm film. The next time you load a new roll in your TLR you will take the empty spool from the top and move it to the bottom.
