hand protector for shading????????????
Hi there,
i do a lot of portriat shading and the trouble i find is my hand gets covered in pencil and it rubs into the work and ruins it, i just wathed a movie on youtube and the drawer has some sort of glove on that seems to act as protection of getting pecil on your hnd.
could someone help me out on what this is?

When I’m being very care full I use an ordinary white sock with the toes cut off and an extra hole for my thumb as an emergency art glove. It works in a pinch, and it’s washing machine safe!
The other approach I’ve seen is to hold a sheet of computer paper under your hand so that your skin never contacts the graphite.
