How to adjust the shutter speed on the Canon Digital Rebel XTi?

I had this problem for some time and do not know who ask and I know I should probably know how to do this, but I'm not familiar with my camera. Please help! Thank you!

Put your disk on any TV (timer value) and M (Manual), then use the click wheel on the front of the shutter. Check your manual to find out what settings are most appropriate for the type of shot that will do.
