How to adjust the exposure for my Sony Cyber Shot 2 minutes or more?

I am ready to take some night shots without flash can be neither head nor tail of the owners manual. I love Sony products, but they are very easy to use. For the most part, I been using the auto ISO low light situations, but I want to go out at night without flash. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I should point I am new to photography so please keep answers simple. Imagine you are explaining to a child of 10 years. Thank you much.

I have carefully examined all the specifications cyber shot on the web page and can not find shooting Cyber has a shutter speed than 1 second and the maximum is in programming mode. So perhaps a better fit in a second ISO on a tripod with the timer can give you the results you are looking for. Good luck and experience with different parameters.
