Tripod or monopod? What large glass head? (Canon 100-400L.)?
Hello … just pick up a Manfrotto 441 Carbon Update my old B & H Special. Discussions on the monopod … but after much thought that you really want something that sets quickly and will last me twenty years. I think it will be more impressive for what I am hoping to do in Africa … (Quick Start, panning etc.) I need some suggestions though my head to give maximum stability with my big Canon glass though. (100-400L This is a beast!) Thanks in advance.
I used a Bogen monopod section three years. I shot a 600mm f/4.0 him. (No way I could keep on hand as the miller.) You mentioned Shooting Panos ….. I also used a monopod and Pano Tools Assembler. for my needs at work. I sometimes use a tripod, but I find it very limited to my style photography. I want to go ….. continue to shoot and move. I usually get the camera at eye level and place three points of focus in the viewfinder in sight. Can rotate 360 degrees and overlapping each frame of 30%. The software requires the band. The images are stitched together and I get a 60MB file I suppose the main reason to go with a monopod is the weight. I can usually find a way strengthen the camera and monopod when I need it. A tripod is when I have a lot of time and not far off. You can visit the Bogen 3422 …. has a surface slightly lower FLIP which gives support to three points. As for the head …. Do not over ball heads. I also think is one of those articles of the camera you have to prove yourself. My glass has long been a hub for a necklace when I want to go vertical. Good luck in Africa!
