white balance settings?
Hello … I am learning photography and I am a little confused with the "white theme" of the scale – I hope you can help me -. I parameters of the "white balance" in the menu of my Nikon D40 Flouorescent incandescent Direct sunlight, Flash, light and shadow, preparation etc.. When my camera for a picture, I can choose one of these options or effect preferrred, I have to select a condition based on Purley and the environment with my Nikon? In addition, these setings seem adjusable by -3 to 3 -. can not seem to meaning to what someone could give me some advice before. Thank you!

Initially, at least until you reach understand and know when and how to adjust your settings, it is preferable that with the "Auto". This, in most cases give the better balance for specific conditions. When we know what it is and it is possible that need to use a different configuration, you can configure your own WB.
