Setting the shutter speed on a Nikon D40?
I recently received a Nikon D40 and do not know how to adjust the speed shutter to take photographs of the streets at night to get the drag effect of light. Help? Well, now you told me, what should I put in dial on top?
If you're shooting cars at night and you want the red and white stripes will have to use a tripod and set the mode manual exposure. You can adjust the shutter speed by turning the knob on the right side of the camera. Keep the ISO low (below 400) and use a long exposure. If the D40 has a reduced exposure to noise and long be sure to use the ISO standard.
