Timer Shutter

A flash goes off if you have the camera on the timer instead of pushing the shutter?

I love being able to take pictures of myself with my daughter after I blink and suddenly it occurred to me to ask .. The light flashes when I press the shutter and take the timer? (Camera flashes in sync with a cable)

The trigger fires the flash when connected to a shoe, PC connection or used as a slave (always and when the master of fire). Is there a reason not to test just flashes use the timer? The film is cheap and reformatted card is cheaper
